This ain't SeaWorld, this is as real as it gets

Sorry Srader, lied about not posting today...I made it up to you later on in the post...

Some questions for my badass readers (and sorry if you already use GradeGenie).
What do you do when you missed class for any reason (sick, missed alarm, super hungover, etc...)?
1) If the notes aren't provided on a website by the teacher, like Blackboard at Mizzou, and taking notes is crucial if you want to receive a good grade, do you try and find someone who was in class that day?
2) Assume you don't know anyone in the class well enough to ask them for their notes, how will you go about getting notes to copy?
What if the class you missed was a review that won't be posted on the teacher's website?

Instead of being on of those annoying people who mass email the class listserve for notes and say they were 'sick', you should definately check out GradeGenie. This website is a great resource even if think you don't need it. According to them, "Through the capability of searching, uploading, downloading, and mass collaboration, GradeGenie provides a very convenient and effective way to use supplemental study material."

I've used this website countless times, mainly to download completed study guides or notes from the book that other people have posted. There are a ton of schools listed on there meaning your school is probably included. If yours isn't on there, I'm sure it's not that hard to have put on and then you can form your own marketing campaign for your school to get involved with the site (talking to administrators, recruiting representatives to help spread the word, etc). BTW, I looked up Georgia College and State University for you Elizabeth, and it's listed but there are no notes on there yet. You're still a freshman..maybe you could organize awareness and involvement for it (see above suggestions) and make it popular on your campus. I'm sure the guys on the site have ideas on getting started, too. Just a thought as a resume booster maybe. Anyways, they even have contests to win iTunes cards and other prizes. At Mizzou, they're targeting Greek involvement with a contest to see who can submit the most material and the house that wins receives $300 i think (notes are reviewed by GG staff to ensure quality). Almost every one of my classes has notes listed under, making it a valuable resource for me come test time.

Ok. That's my two cents about this awesome website. Study break over. Back to marketing research studying. 4 hours until my test?? SHIT

Also, have you heard that the bird is the word?

Pass me the nautical themed pashmina afghan

I just realized that if I don't add a sweet picture or video to my blog the layout is really boring but I'm too lazy to change it. I'll make it my goal to add a pic to every post from now on. The topic of birthdays came up today with my neighbors being on Saturday, Haters in a week and mine in a couple weeks. This picture is from my 21st last year which was one of the best times I had in the house. Drinking at a bar is fun, but when its for someone's birthday, especially yours, it makes it so much better. Also, shows you who your true friends are (just kidding..or am I?). But it really was a great brotherhood "event."

The only thing that sucked was that I stayed up all night the night before and hadn't eaten much that day. This, obviously, is the worst way to prep for a numerous amount of shots (made it to 18 in an hour and a half). I'm just glad I didn't throw up at the bar in a pitcher (Hater) or lay on my side on the floor at the Delt house puking (Lobdell). Woke up the next day at 10 am feeling like a million dollars with no hangover, until I went back to sleep and woke up a couple hours later feeling like shit.

I've been wondering something lately (sorry a little late). I'm all for ways to save energy and natural resources whatnot, but I think this Earth Hour is retarded. I'll go right wing extreme with this and say that its just a bunch of liberal hippies trying to 'save the environment, man'. This is what you could expect an advertisement promoting it to say, most likely on the Internet or 100% recycled paper, depending on which one wastes less energy/resources:
***Just forget innovation and freedom to enjoy normal activities (electricity, heat, anything fun, etc) and bike or drive your Prius down to the park for a candlelit gathering and sing-a-long. If you do drive and you're not carpooling you will be asked to leave, plant a tree, or participate in a peaceful protest at an abortion clinic. Feel free to bring your body, your spirit and a positive vibe! If you don't have a candle to bring they will be available for $1 with all proceeds going to the Peace Corps)***
So, this was on Saturday  and I guess 1 billion people participated according to my yahoo homepage. This, other than what the tree huggers have done before, is the start of socially involving global movement. Mizzou has their own version because of EH going on during Spring Break. I know I'm stretching it with this post, but this is just the start. Maybe you like the dark and this is how you eat dinner, and more power to you if it means that much to you. Next it will be bi-annually, then once a month, and before you know it we'll all be Amish. I'm already saving energy every night by not having my light on in my room when I sleep. Maybe I'll start a group promoting to keep every light on while sleeping because how much does it suck to get up and trip over shit searching for the light? Yeah. It's a pressing global problem if you haven't heard. Hey, while Obama is on his little spending spree why can't we throw some money at solar power for everyone? I hope some one actually reads this because I want to know what you think of this.

Ok, I'm done.

It's a big blue watery road

First off, I have to say thanks to the Mizzou basketball team for their amazing season and impact this year. I guess thats all I have to say about that cuz I'm still feeling the disappointment.

(If you dont have an xbox 360 and a Mac just go back to facebooking or something cuz you'll waste your time with the rest of this)

Anyways, I'm pretty excited about this program I found today for Mac computers. Sorry this is a lame post but it might help someone with the same problem. So, Xbox 360s let you stream music and other media files from your PC to the console and I used this a little bit when I had my other laptop. The problem is, 360s only want to connect to PCs and not Macs. Long story short, the program 'tricks' your 360 into thinking you have a PC and voila! music, videos and pictures from your Mac are playable on your console WIRELESSLY. The shitty thing is that the free version ($20 for full) only lets you listen to 100 songs (or view 100 pictures but I dont care about that) that it chooses unless you mess around with your Itunes a little bit. Yeah, you could hook up your Ipod into the console, but I didnt have much luck with that cuz my Ipod is an older version. I guess its a cool thing but probably not much more effective, I just think its sweet to have my computer connected to my 360 wirelessly. Here is the link to the site if you want to download it. Sorry again for the lame post..I promise future one's wont be this bad.

I'm on a dolphin

M-I-Z...
Another late night post (its when I do my best thinking) Just wanted to add to the excitement with a little article from ESPN highlighting the onslaught of Mizzou's "Fastest 40 minutes in basketball" against UConn tomorrow (actually today in T minus 13 hours...get pumped) . Here is another article on there giving Mizzou the credit they deserve. If anyone is in CoMo for the game, lets get get deeerruunk somewhere, bars or someones house. (this assumes someone actually reads this mess of a blog other than this one guy who will never move out of his parents basement in columbia...unlikely)

SUCK IT kANSAS. (see diagram above) I was so glad to see Cole Aldrich and Sherron Collins get sent back to lawrence crying, for many reasons but here are the top two: 1) Obviously bc Im a Mizzou fan and rock chalk chicken hawk, f_ck kU is a phrase to live by; and 2) my bracket stays intact (although last nights win did cost me a couple points, but I could care less)  Oh, I wanted to make a correction on my rant in an earlier post. Mike Anderson is rumored to have offers from Bama and Georgia, not Arkansas. *Sorry if this caused you any incoveniences, but it was your fault in the first place for relying on secondary data from a stubborn college kid's blog. I'll probably be up all night so another random post might come later on, so until then keep your heart black and gold and so long for now.

Evenin' blog
(Evenin' Patrick)

Back in CoMo, probably until school is out even though my mom wishes it was sooner. Had to come back a couple days early because of the winter storm coming. I guess its supposed to be bad, according to mother. Anyways, how bout that game last night? RIDICULOUS! Tiller came out strong and never stopped which was awesome and Denmon gave us a little boost going into the half. I never thought Mizzou would be in this position while I was here, in both basketball and our success in football. This is definitely one of the best times to be a student here. (kU fans see below for reminder).

Other than the game, last night was pretty sweet with about 8 of us Delts and Leon watching the game at Lager's house and the going out to Tomfooleries after. That was a nice brother bonding time and the girls at the bar flashing wasn't bad either. Just remember "Brotherhood sustains us" and everything will become more clear for you. Kinda tired and out of it from last night and there's not too much on my mind right now so I'm gonna go watch the mich st/ ku game (49-49 with 9 mins in the 2nd half). And just fyi, never leave anything in Kenneth's car because he'll just let one of his co-workers borrow it and leave it at work (very irresponsible for a so-called college grad)

Blog blog (bye bye)

P.S. Dont forget about UConn vs Mizzou at 3:40 pm on CBS tomorrow. Shits gonna get real

Intro

I've been getting bored alot lately with my usual video games and TV watching. So, I decided to start one of these blogs, not so much for other people to see, but to see if I can find out more about myself and my experiences by actually expressing them. I'm hoping this will happen and that I will maintain interest in updating, but it wouldn't bother me if I fall off. I still have to figure out how to make this look decent and coherent, just in case I do have curious visitors. Well, it's late and I want to watch some Lost before I go to bed (best and most confusing show ever).

BTW, Mizzou will beat Memphis tomorrow, 87-84, and kU will lose by some unimaginable score. This is how it will go down and that is final. Oh, if Mike Anderson actually considers Bama or Arkansas, I hope he crashes on the way down there and can never coach again. How can you coach for 3 years, build a great team, and consider moving on? F that.
